Glenview Bed and Breakfast - a little bit special.

Anne and Barry Hodge would be delighted to welcome you to our home on the edge of Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside. Our modern home is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village yet we can promise peace and quiet. There is no through traffic on our road and we have off street parking. We only have two rooms  and so you can be sure of our attention and  use of the amenities.

The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have tea and coffee making facilities as well as DVD player and access to a large collection of DVDs. The king size double room has a private bathroom with a  whirlpool bath with shower, wash hand basin and WC, and we provide bathrobes for your use during your stay. The twin bedded room has a large private shower room downstairs and again we provide bathrobes. Breakfast is served in your own dining room and we endeavour to cater for all tastes - do let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements. We serve a full eight item Scottish breakfast to set you up for the day if you wish it, together with a full range of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, toast and preserves. We can provide alternatives to the full breakfast such as fish or continental breakfast. We source all of our foodstuffs locally. The icing on the cake - we like to think - is your private sitting room with unrestricted views to the Auchindoon hills and the Corsemaul ridge from which our road gets its name. We encourage bird life and you may well see siskins, goldfinches and woodpeckers, as well as more common visitors, and also our resident sparrowhawk and buzzards. Should you tire of the views then satellite TV, DVD and music system and a large collection of books are there to while away an hour or so, as well as free wi-fi. We can, by arrangement, provide simple evening meals. Ironing board and iron available if required and room servicing daily if needed.

Our ethos

Our home is your home. We treat our guests as we would wish to be treated ourselves. We welcome you with refreshments and are happy to provide a dram as a nightcap. We enjoy sharing our interest and knowledge of the area and its history with our guests and will be happy to help you plan your visit.. Transport to local restaurants and distilleries can be provided at a nominal charge, if required. Within reason breakfast is served when you wish and you are welcome to come and go as you please. Our rescued greyhound Nigel may be seen from time to time but is very quiet and you might spend your stay without actually seeing him. Check in any time after 14.00 and we request that departure is by about 10.30. Do get in touch if we can be of any assistance - hodgedufftown@msn.com
